Overview
The davinci platform provides myriad ways to store and share media (images, audio, video, data) with other users. Media encompasses anything that can be saved as a file to a hard drive. When saved on the davinci servers, the media can be made securely accessible to other users. You can also replace a saved media file with a new version without breaking any links to the file. (This is particularly useful if you are saving data to the server and sharing)
Saved Media
Media such as images, audio and video need to be hosted on a webserver in order to accessible within the browser. Davinci provides two different ways to save and manage user media.
- User Media is media that you have uploaded and saved with your desktops and pages. It is accessible from the home app.
- Page Media - Page media is content that has been uploaded from the page editor and that is tied to a particular page.
