Project Modeling

Overview

Project modeling involves creating a model of a project in order to understand the dependencies of the project on various resources. This typically involves breaking a project down into tasks and dependencies between those tasks, as well as the assets (for example: servers or other equipment) required to complete the project.

Project modeling helps to determine what costs and risks a project entails in order to help management make judgements about whether and how to execute a project, and how that project fits within their capital expenditure plans.
