Banking Data
Overview
There are three primary sources of banking data in the United States.
- Financial Statements
- Securities Law in the United States
requires publicly traded companies to file a set of financial statements with the SEC, which is then made available
to the public. Financial statement data is availalbe through the
Edgar App .
- Price and Volume Data
- captured and provided by the various exchanges, this data is typically provided by a third party data provider.
Market data provided by CSI is avaible in the

- FDIC Call Reports
- because of its systemic risk nature, the banking industry is subject to a set additional legistion.
(see banking regulation) In the United States, banks that wish to be insured by the
FDIC must file a set of reports of condition and income (call reports) with the FDIC, which are also publicly
available. Call report data is available through the
