Equation of State and Thermodynamic Transformations

Overview

When a body is a thermodynamic equilibrium, it is thought that it can be described by an equation of state that describes the relationships among the variables describing the body. As and example, the Ideal Gas Law is an equation of state relating pressure, volume and temperature.

In its most general form, the equation of state can be written as
{% f(P,V,T) = 0 %}
