Thermodynamics

Overview

Thermodynamics is the study of the statistical properties of physical bodies at a macroscopic scale. It assumes that the laws of physics apply at the microscopic scale (the atomic scale) and then uses probability to describe these microscopic interactions at an aggregate level. It introduces new concepts such as heat and temperature that are relevant at this scales.
