Visualizing Elections Data
Overview
One of the easiest way to coomunicate information from data to is to find a way to display the data
in a graphical representation. There are two primary methods of visualizing election type data.
- Line Charts displaying polling data over time, such as, candidate favorability ratings.
- Maps - displaying polling data and population statistics.
Example - US Population
The population of the various states determine the number of electoral votes each state gets in the
presidential election, as well as the number of House members each state gets in Congress.
