Selecting Component in the Page

Overview

When editing a page, you will want to be select a component in the page, for some future action, such as removing the component or copying the component. When a component is selected, a visual border will be placed around the component so that it stands out from the page in order to help you identify which component is selected.

There are two methods you can use to selected a component.

• Selection Mode - selection mode is turned on by clicking the select checkbox in the control panel. When selection mode is on, you can select a component by clicking on it in the page. (this applies only to components that have a visual presence in the page)
• Components Dialog - dialog lets you navigate the components in the page and select a given component.
