Profile

Overview

Your profile contains all the information that is presented to other users of the platform, including such things as your display name and description. In addition to basic display information, your profile includes your user display page, which is the page that is displayed when other users view your user profile.

You edit your profile using the profile app, which is installed by default on all workspaces. The app lets you submit new profile information from the profile form.

In addition to basic profile information, you can create and edit a customized profile page. For information about creating a profile page, please see creating a profile page

Profile Information

The profile information form lets you edit your personal display information when users view your profile or read a message you have submitted to a channel.

• First Name - your first name. This will be available to users viewing your profile. It is also used in lieu of your username on messages you send or as your username when you connect to live sharing.
• Last Name - your last name. This will be available to users viewing your profile. It is also used in lieu of your username on messages you send or as your username when you connect to live sharing.
• Email - your email is not viewable by other users. It is used strictly by davinci in cases where you need to be contacted for account maintenance purposes. It is not required, but if it is not filled out, we will not be able to contact you except through davinci messaging.
• Description - Your personal description, which is is viewable by users viewing your profile.
• Small User Image - this picture is used when you submit a message to a channel or other situation where you will be represented by an image.
• Profile Picture - This picture is used when users view your profile when you use the default profile page.
• Public Profile Page - this is a URL to a webpage or blog that will become your profile page to any member of the general public. If not provided, your auto generated profile page will be your public profile.
• Contact Profile Page - a URL that points to a webpage or blog that will become your profile page to any member of your contact list. If not provided, your auto generated profile page will be your contact profile.

Profile Options

• Searchable - makes your profile available through davinci search. If set to off, users will only be able to find you if they have your username. (Note changes to your profile can take up to a day to be reflected in search results)
• Location - allows contacts to see your location in chat rooms or video conferences.

Page Editor

Profile Page Editor - Page is the web page that is displayed when another user views your profile. A default page is displayed when a user visits your profile. You can edit this page from the page tab.

You can register a different web page to function as your profile. This is configured in your profile tab above.

Workspace Configuration

• Apps: add or remove apps from your workspace. create app configurations
• Toolboxes: lets you add toolboxes to your blog editor.
• Tokens: configure your data access tokens
• Trusts: configure trust relationships with other users.
