Modeling Deposit Account Openings
Accounts that open did not exist prior to being opened. This means that we cannot model individual accounts. However, we can model account opening as a count process in a manner similar to what is done for account closures. (see account closures counting models)

The choices for modeling account openings are somewhat more limited than modeling account closures.
