Overview
When the range of a function is a vector, there can be a number of different notions of derivative that can apply. That is, assume that the function {% F(x_1, ... ,x_m) %} returns a vector, {% (F_1, ... ,F_n) %}. This can be denoted as {% \vec{F}(\vec{x}) %}
Derivatives
- Differential or Jacobian
- Divergence - returns a real number
- Curl -applicable only in 3-d space
