Brower Fixed Point Theorem
Overview
The fixed point theorem states that any
continuous function
that maps a
compact
convex
set to itself will have a point {% x_0 %}
such that
{% f(x_0) = x_0 %}
Visual Example
Any continuous function defined on the domain [0,1] will cross the line y=x somewhere in the interval.
