Public Securities Association Prepayment Benchmark (PSA)

Overview

The PSA is similar to the SMM in that it specifies a monthly prepament rate as a percentage. However, it differs from the SMM in that it is not constant across time. That is, the monthly rate is published by the Public Securities Association based on their studies.
