Overview
Equities represent an ownership share of a company, and are regulated by Securities Law. Equities are structured legally such that the shareholders own a proportionate share of a company, however, they are personally shielded from the companies liabilities.
The equity markets in the United States represents one of the largest and most liquid financial markets.

- Technical Analysis : the traditional analysis of stock traders going back to the time of Charles Dow which seeks to use patterns in stock charts to forecast future trends.
- Quantitative Equity Analysis : equity analysis is similar to the analysis of many other asset types that follow the same mathematical structure, the geometric brownian motion.
