Leadership
Overview
In many ways, leadership is the flip side to the decision making coin. Whereas decision making involves considering many
possible options amidst uncertainty, leadership is about rallying the troops around a single choice. This can be a difficult exercise
because one of the tenets of the rational decision making is to prepare to be wrong. However, once a decision is made, it is
often not a good idea to indicate the uncertainty inherent in the decision.
Communicating the Decision
Building the Narrative

One of the key leadership skills is the ability to build a narrative around the direction that the leader is leading the
team. That is, it is best to be able to communicate the vision in a story that communicates why the vision is the way
it is, and how it aligns with the company's culture and brand.
