Edit Table

Overview

The Edit Table app allows you to bind a dataset to a spreadsheet like table for editing. To add a table, choose a table name and enter it into the name textbox. Click add, this will add a new tab to your workspace with the edit table in the tab.

The edit table does not actually edit the underlying dataset, rather it creates a new dataset with the edits applied and adds it to your worskpace with a name that matches the name you choose for the table.

Popping Table

Sometimes you wish to edit data and immediately see the effect of the data in a chart or some other app. To accomplish this, you can pop the table by clicking the pop button. This will move the table to a draggable window so that you can navigate to another app and still have the table available for editing.

To put the table back as table, just click the close dialog x in the upper right corner of the dialog. To delete an edit table, click the delete button when the table is the selected tab in the edit table workspace.
